Camp Series - Post 3 Tree Climbing

Hello Bloggers

Today is my last Camp series blog post.  I will me telling you a little bit about my tree climbing experience.I really enjoyed climbing up to the top of the tree and touching the chain. But before you got up to the chain you have to put a harness on and a helmet to be safe. You got to chose how high you went up the tree. A little way up the tree was a hanging rabbit that you got to push it and the rabbit skewered  like a dogs toy dose. I think that it was a dog toy.

Have a look at my DLO below.

I really like that everyone gave it a go some people did not get that high but they did not have to.
I overcame that sight fear of falling out of the tree.
I leant that you always should try your best and even if you are scared just give it a try.

Camp Series - Post 2 Swimming Hole

 Hello Bloggers

Today I will be telling you about my experience at Waipara adventure center swimming howle.  I really enjoyed visiting the swimming howle because I feel nice. At first the water was so so cold that it felt like you were going to freeze like an ice cream. Once you got in and started to jump in and out on the rope swings and other things like that. You got used to the water and it became warm. There was three rope swings one in the shallow end and two more in the deep end. The deep end was way over our heads. Also in the deep end there was a huge tree and on that tree was some steps nailed into the tree and three was a little steep on the tree that you went on to jump off. Some people only went to the end of the steps but I went onto the steep thing.

Have a look at my DLO below.

I overcame the slight fear of mercy water. I learnt that you should always keep trying so that you overcome the things you are afraid of.

Camp Series - Post 1 - Flying Kiwi

 Hello bloggers

Today I am going to tell you all about my Flying kiwi experience. Last week my class went on camp. We went to Waipara Adventure Camp .We had so much fun. My class had a variety of activities we got to do. The activities were a hour and half long. It seems a long time to be doing one activity but once you finish the instruction that takes about 20 minutes.

Flying kiwi is where you get all harnessed up then the other people in your group pulls on a rope that is making you go up in the air. It is pretty fun, more like really fun. You get two turns. Your first turn is going straight up and down. Then your second turn is a choice - you do not have to do it. If you chose to have your second go you get a choose a fun way to get up the top.

One way is to do the bum slider and that is where you sit on you bum and get pulled away. The second way to go up the top is to do the swing the swing is where you run up like you are trying to run into the tree but you will not get there. Then you get pulled up like you are on a big swing. The third way to go up is to do the spiral. The spiral is where you run in a circle and you get pulled up that way. You get pretty close to hitting a tree. I chose to do the second one that was the swing.

Now that I saw my friend do the spiral I really want to do that again.

I learnt that you should alway trust the people who has the most knowledge.

I overcame the trust of the people in my group
